Watching Individual Pages [Tour 11 of 23]
Counting individual accesses to web pages can be extremely useful way of checking that users are able to get to the key pages on a site. By comparing the pattern allows you to fine tune the site's navigation facilities and the page text so that the search engines are sending visitors to the appropriate page on the web site.
You can also be alerted when the site's error or contact page is frequently accessed indicating that the web site may have a problem. The pattern of access may be particularly useful after a promotion so that you can tell when new visitors reached a specially created landing page. You can check that the charge made to you for click-throughs is accurate.
You can easily tell how many times a file has been downloaded or an online shopping page has been entered.
