Site Vigil / Upgrade
Version 5.2 Build 54 - Minor upgrade
This version is an incremental upgrade to Site Vigil builds 31 through to 53. Monitoring settings are forwards compatible from all these builds.
Configuration and data files are backwards compatible. Please backup your configuration settings (using the Export feature in Options screen) and configuration folder contents before upgrading.

It contains the following major new features :
- New help format with improved index and cross references
It contains the following enhancements to existing functionality :
- The limit on TCP/IP port numbers is changed from 10000 to 65535
- Alert email contains more SMTP header information to pass through e-mail filters
- The Email Alert SMTP Server specifier now supports an IP address as well as a domain name
- Add site position scans for search engines A9 and Excite, withdraw support for Teoma and About.
- The help file format in the Wizard side panels has been enhanced
- Updated Remote Viewer .rsp files to include IMG ALT and size information in generated HTML
- Remote Viewer image files were marked as non-cachable in the HTTP header
The following fixes have been applied :
- If an alert is escalated more than once then only one clear alert is generated (2892)
- If a URL manual test fails it displays data on wrong URL in result
- Ping failure reports may have comma in the hyperlink in the report list
- Some color schemes dont show links because foreground same as background color
- Access to local server aliases (hosts file) may fail if proxy server used
- The log file decompress now understands GZ compressed file format logs
- Site Position does not show result position data if many keyword/engines specified
- The remote viewer utility is faster and less liable to 'freeze up'
- The Summary report was displayed as blank in viewer
- Requests for Remote Viewer root file '/' used uninterpreted index file
- Maximum keywords reduced to 200 to stop possible data corruption
- The current work was not shutdown if the Scheduler is Quit, OK if shutdown using tray icon
- Reported a very high (4294967...) or zero access time intermittently on some multi-processor PCS if hyperthreading enabled.
- A dumped XML report may have contained illegal unescaped & characters in description
- The Wizard (Lite) forced a user to add a web site to monitor even if they don't want to monitor one
