Site Vigil / Upgrade
Version 3.2 Build 43 - Spider change map, archived log files
This version is an incremental upgrade to Site Vigil builds 31 through to 42. Monitoring settings are forwards compatible from all these builds.
Configuration and data files are backwards compatible. Please backup your configuration settings (using the Export feature in Options screen) and configuration folder contents before upgrading.
Release date 2nd April 2003.
It contains the following major new features :
- The log file data retrieved from the web server can be saved to an archive folder
- Two scans of a complete site can be compared to produce a list of page and link changes
- If web page changes are monitored then the previous versions are kept for manual inspection
It contains the following enhancements to existing functionality :
- A graph is used to indicate referral keyword counts and watch counts as well as a list of counts
- Graphs can be saved as PNG files for archiving or including in reports
- URL/Ping checks can be made dependent on each other
The following fixes have been applied :
- Unable to remove monitor watches completely using the Remove button in Scheduler Watch
- If a Ping connection is made asynchronously then some errors are not reported correctly
- Move some configuration items from registry to .INI configuration files
- Only one of multiple compressed log files may get decompressed in a single archive scan
