Version 2.7 Build 40 - Enhanced alert options

This version is an incremental upgrade to Site Vigil builds 39 through to 31.

Monitoring settings are forwards compatible from builds 39 through to 31.

Configuration and data files are backwards compatible. Please backup your configuration settings and configuration folder before upgrading.

Release date 24th October 2002.

The main feature is a reworking of the alert management facilities.

It contains the following updates :

• Facility to individual acknowledge alerts
• Add Pause/Continue as scheduler menu commands
• Report major user actions recorded in log file
• Easier access to URL/Ping Summary and Raw Data information
• Summary report displayed in HTML table format
• The 'In Progress' dialog should be central to parent dialog
• Show different icon when configuration window is active
• Menu option to check for upgrade to program
• Option of SMTP EMail send as well as Exchange/Outlook EMail send
• Limit the number of email alerts that can be sent a short time period
• Escalation control for alerts (if not acknowledged or longer problem)
• Alert option to activate an arbitrary web page
• Move some monitoring information out of registry to an external .INI file
• If a site refuses a HEAD request automatically retry with GET HTTP request
• Show the HTML page title in the Access summary report
• Show Analyser links in alphabetical order
• Analyser should assume http:// if not stated in URL
• Wizard should automatically default to use passive FTP
• Wizard should only prompt for log format choice if fails automatic selection
• Wizard should remove traffic slider control - convert to a radio button choice
• Wizard should check that the site domain name is valid
• Adding a new URL/Ping monitor should put cursor at end of text
• Dispense with need for leading '/' on access monitor resources
• Installation progress should have antialiased text
• Installation should allow all users/current user install option
• Menu command to activate web page viewer
• Bug : Never get run when busy prompt
• Bug : Referral statistics count may not match count in details list
